Back at it with the 7th sun

Today we had a special treat on this fine taco Tuesday to be joined by concert margarita specialist that one guy. Guest appearances on our taco Tuesday blog are few and far between but this one really was a privelage.

Long story short we show up at the seventh sun brewery at around 930 pm expecting to order some xtreme tacos only to find they had just closed down for the night. Highly dissapointed we drowned our sorrows with a bunch of craft beers and ordered Uber eats taco bus to be delivered to the brewery to satisfy our needs.

No hot sauces featured this week and we’re going to have to give Uber eats taco bus services a 5/10 for being confusing on the menu and misleading on when or who is delivering our tacos. Our driver changed names mid order and also vehicles from a Jeep to a bicycle for crying out loud…

Low and behold we were generally satisfied and appeased the taco gods this taco Tuesday getting our fix of craft beer and delicious greasy tacos to absorb it all. Thank you for all of your support tt fans again we read every comment and you can follow us on Instagram and Snapchat @blackicet

In house

There is a certain separation that we have when we do an in house taco Tuesday compared to going out and it’s hard for people to understand. We go absolutely all out. During my shopping spree at Aldi getting ready for this extravaganza that we haven’t done in a bit I was loading up the cart with all sorts of odds and ends. Picking up taco craft fanfare is an art that takes years to perfect and one small misstep could cause your taco Tuesday partner to have to bring way more than normal to carry the tt on their back.

We ended up having on our tacos; whole wheat soft tortillas, spinach, ground beef, chunky guacamole, sour cream, cheese, Olive’s (optional) and of course a steady stream of hot sauce.

I’ll be listing the 4 sauces in order of hotness these were all ordered from hot ones online. Something our fans will be looking forward to aswell is my Samsung rep will be giving us a jar of his homemade ghost pepper hot sauce for us to try for the blog. We had pineapple habenero tangy but not that hot good additive to any taco or vegetable. Los calientes was the third we had but if we’re doing ascending order of hotness I don’t want to speak out of place which was where we discovered if you shout the name of the hot sauce it loses its power over you. The second sauce and the second hottest sauce we had for the night for that matter was the ghost pepper and blueberry my gawd what a kick to that one. Then last but not least after still screaming Los calientes we put way too much on our tacos of the last dab redux which is just stupid hot.

The last dab redux which gets all the celebrities on the hot ones interview crying is a beast on its own level. They take their hottest sauce that they make and cross it with an even hotter pepper to make a delicious but painfully spicy hot sauce that I live for. All you need is three drops and we did a line of this bitch across the taco. Tears were shooting out of my eyes unwillingly and I was covered in sweat with my mouth on fire even after 3 glasses of milk for what felt like forever.

The chips and queso we supplemented with turned into a chips and salsa highlight. Turns out target makes some nice salsa but does not do well when all you can buy is tostinos meh queso. Those with organic white tortilla and sea salt pita chips we had an okay Entourage of items to go with our tacos including a few strong beers.

I did not get a chance to go over what we would rate this tt with woubler but I’m going to have to give it a 9/10 because I hosted it and I know there is always room for improvement when you bring the tt home. Thanks everyone for your support again on our venture we read all of your comments and appreciate your feedback.

Getting chronic in carrolwood

We’re at it again on this fine summer taco Tuesday night on June 11th. Today woubler and I decided to get adventurous yet again and embark out on a trip to the west to visit a small joint in a strip mall called chronic tacos.

First impressions was customer service wise this place was understaffed even though there were hardly any patrons and none in line ahead of us we still received slow pitiful service. Looking past that fact we were hoping to experience some great food to make up for lack of service.

The chips and queso department rating usually left mainly to our friend chap woubler was a definite much left to be desired. We agreed after conversating that you need to either have really good queso or really good chips to make it in this doggy dog taco Tuesday world and they had neither… Definite 4/10 rating on the chips and queso scale.

On to the tacos with a confusing menu and style options that were too fast to handle we ended up with an assortment of steak, chicken, beef, and fish tacos. The tacos were decently sized towards the small side and ended up being loaded up quite fast and you weren’t really sure what was on them at the end of the day. Their saving Grace was a mini hot sauce bar with some scorpion and ghost chili sauces in them that we of course had to put to the test in our hot sauce ratings. The scorpion one had quite the burn to it right off the bat and the house branded ghost pepper sauce stayed with you long after you left the restaurant.

Rating wise we’re going to have to give this place a generous 5.5/10 for overloaded tacos, poor service and queso chip quality. The only good taco I personally experienced here that actually stood out from mediocrity was the mahi mahi beer battered fish taco I wish I would’ve just gotten 3 of.

As per usual we like to check out post game night life in the area for our fans and hit up the closest brewery. Carrolwood brewery with brass tap written on it was a nice little spot to have a craft beer or two to wash down your tacos that you wish were better.

Signing off for now we’re planning on hitting Rocco’s tacos soon and also a vallertas fat bunny pub combo to come

Thank you for reading we read all comments and appreciate your time and taco Tuesday support

First one down

So what do you know we kick off our first taco Tuesday with a kablam. I don’t know whether it was the first time jitters like when you’re about to go in for your first kiss but we were nervous for this one. Being the taco veterans that we are there is a ton riding on our first documented night out and we wanted to do it right. So we warmed up with the good old 5 beers a piece while conversating and picking something new out on Google maps. We ended up going Xtreme not figuratively but litetally. Xtreme tacos right off of 275 in tampa we kicked things off right. It turned out to be a surprise brewery as we walked up on the photoesque extreme tacos food truck stand after taking a short jaunt from the mermaid tavern.

My God did it almost bring tears to my eyes as I texted my fellow co worker who frequents breweries the gem we had so Stumbled upon. With the declaration from the expert that we were at one of the top five breweries in tampa two best friends were like kids in a candy store. We did the safe order of three tacos apiece with the hottest hot sauce they could muster from the back room. Woubler ordered up some chips and queso (ended up being a 6.5 on c&q scale) to which we warmed up our pallettes. While I myself saunteted on into what would be known as a hipsters wet dream and ordered ourselves some black hole 7uns (great play on song wording) to get our drink continued from the preamble.

Long story short for authentic type tacos Xtreme tacos although we don’t like giving out solidified final ratings until we’ve been to a joint 3 times a top 10 spot on a taco Tuesday rankings. We have been very impressed with food trucks lately when it comes to tacos and hot sauce and we might have to just keep coming back. My God was my mouth on fire after cleaning up those 3 tacos and drowning it out with a pair of craft beers from the Brew er e (; . Overall as far as Im Concerned this is a solid taco spot to full fill all those tt urges and I hope to make it back here again soon. Signing off fornow with a full belly. Blkicet. Ty guys for all your support so far with the blog much more to come soon!
